Mason County is actively seeking eager applicants to join our Road & Bridge Department as a Road & Bridge Worker. If operating heavy machinery is something you enjoy – now is your chance to grab an application! Workers will have the opportunity to operate motor graders, dump trucks and front-end loaders. Having a Texas CDL is a bonus, but not a requirement to apply (funding is available for CDL training). Other duties include building and repairing cattle guards and culverts and providing general road repair. With pay range of $22/hour to $24.50/hour, Mason County offers great wages to those enthusiastic to build a lasting career.

Road & Bridge Mechanic

Mason County is currently on the lookout for willing applicants with mechanic experience for a full-time Road and Bridge Mechanic. If you are pursuing a career-oriented position with excellent benefits, look no further. Enjoy hands-on work? Responsibilities of the mechanic include, but are not limited to, repairing diesel and gas engines, as well as, repairing electrical, cooling, hydraulic/brake, fuel, and air conditioning systems. Requirements of a county mechanic include, but are not limited to, maintaining a current class a commercial driver’s license and an insurable driving record. Interested applicants must be willing to be on call 24 hours for emergency situations.
